What if the patient leaves no number?

Then there is no request, but the conversation is kept. You can see what patients who didn't book were asking — which tells you what's missing from your profile.

Is there a limit on requests?

Why forms convert badly

A form makes the patient choose before they've had an answer: pick a treatment, pick a dentist, pick a date. Someone who only wanted to know the price of root canal treatment closes the tab.

A conversation runs the other way round. The answer first, then a natural offer to book, and only then a name and a number — once the patient is actually interested.

Why the bot doesn't assign a time itself

Because it cannot see your schedule. Promising a patient Thursday at 2pm without knowing whether that slot is free is worse than promising nothing — they arrive and leave disappointed.
