What a chatbot for a clinic website costs
"It depends" is a useless answer, so here it is broken down by line — including where offers on the market tend to hide the rest of the price.
Two different routes
A custom build: an agency writes a bot for you. It starts in the thousands, takes weeks, and after handover every price change means going back to the developer. You own it, and you maintain it.
A ready-made service: a subscription, ten minutes to install, and you change the price list yourself. Cheaper to start and predictable after, but you depend on the provider.
What a subscription is made of
Hosting and the service itself are the bulk of it. Then AI tokens: every conversation costs the model a fraction of a cent, and in a sane service that is already inside the plan rather than billed on top.
Check that specifically when comparing offers — "from €10" with per-conversation billing works out dearer than a flat subscription within a few hundred enquiries.
- The monthly subscription
- AI tokens — should be included
- Installation — should not be a separate fee
- Price-list changes — should be free and immediate
What it costs with Perla
The Start plan is €49 a month: up to 500 conversations, the clinic profile, the price list and appointment requests. First month free, no card up front.
Compare that to one line on your own price list. One recovered hygiene patient covers several months; one implant covers years.
Common questions
- Is there a setup fee?
- No. Setup is one line of code, no developer needed, and there is no implementation charge.
- Do I pay per conversation?
- No, conversations are included. Start covers up to 500 a month, which is comfortable for most clinics.
- What happens after the free month?
- Nothing automatically — you pick a plan when you're ready. No card is needed to begin.
Do the sum on your own price list
First month free. After that €49, with nothing extra for conversations or setup.
